3rd Sunday of Easter
Read this week's bulletin to see the latest from St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Dear Parish Family,
We are now beyond the heights of Holy Week and the Easter octave, concluding with Divine Mercy Sunday last weekend, but the celebration of the Resurrection doesn’t end! We still have five weeks of the Easter season to go! During this time we will continue to hear about the early Church, how the power of the Resurrection and the truth of Jesus Christ, as Son of God and Son of Man, gave quick rise to the conversion of many hearts and minds. What we hear about in the Acts of the Apostles in the first reading on these Sundays and during daily Mass is a story that has not yet been completed. We are still writing it! We are living in this epoch of Christ’s mission being continued on earth through his Body – the company of the baptized. It will continue until he returns again.
So as we make our way through the season, be encouraged by the witness of the apostles and those other first members of the early Church, and let’s ask for their intercession that we would be great ambassadors for the reality and truth of Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior of all!
Peace and good.
