The Religious Education program for children in kindergarten through 5th grade at St. John the Evangelist Church is designed to provide young students with a foundational understanding of the Catholic faith. This program, known as "Living Liturgically," focuses on integrating faith into the daily lives of children through engaging educational activities and teachings that reflect the liturgical life of the Church.
Purpose & Mission
The primary purpose of the Religious Education program is to educate young children in the basics of Catholicism, helping them to grow in their faith and understanding of God’s love. The mission of this program is to lay a strong spiritual foundation that children can build upon as they grow and develop in their religious life.

The Religious Education program offers a variety of activities and services, including:
- Classroom Instruction: Weekly classes that cover a range of topics such as the sacraments, the Bible, the lives of the saints, and the Church’s teachings.
- Liturgical Participation: Opportunities for children to participate in and learn about the liturgical practices of the Church.

Classes are held regularly throughout the school year, and the curriculum is designed to be age-appropriate and engaging for young learners.
