Maybe you've been coming to Mass for a while and something has been stirring. Maybe your spouse is Catholic and you want to understand what they believe. Maybe you were baptized years ago but never confirmed, and it's time to complete what was started. Maybe you've never been part of any church, and you're just beginning to ask the questions.
OCIA is for all of you.
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults is the Church's process for welcoming new members. It's not a class you pass or a box you check. It's a journey: prayer, study, conversation, and gradual immersion into the life of the Church.
Weekly sessions walk through the Gospels, the teachings of the Church, the sacraments, and the moral life. But it's not just information transfer. It's formation. You'll be joined by sponsors and catechists who walk with you, answer your questions, and pray for you. The process follows the rhythm of the liturgical year, building toward the Easter Vigil, when catechumens are baptized, confirmed, and receive the Eucharist for the first time.
You don't need to have it all figured out before you start. You just need to be willing to explore.
